Welcome to www.eyeon.org.uk, a sensory heritage trail around the towns of South Lanarkshire.
Eight sculptures with accompanying audio guides invite you to use your senses to explore eight buildings and their stories.
As you listen, you will be guided to touch the sculptures and begin a fascinating and entertaining journey that leads you to interesting, and sometimes unusual, buildings in Hamilton, East Kilbride, Cambuslang and Rutherglen. You can choose to visit just one or to visit them all.
Get in touch with the past – it’s more fun than you thought!
How it works
Each town featured on the trail has its own page. Here you will find details of the buildings, their locations and the individual audio guides.
To assist those with impaired vision, each sculpture on the trail is highlighted with contrast banding and tactile indicators set in the pavement. Nameplates are in Braille.
You can obtain copies of the audio guides in a number of ways.
- Listen to each guide and download it to your MP3 player, iPod or CD
- Click for all the audio guides as a single download
- A CD or cassette can be sent to you by post. Please telephone Low Parks Museum on 01698 328232
